カリフォルニア州出身の日系三世 (1949年生まれ)｡ 慶応大学（1971-72年）留学、フルブライト研究員として東京大学法学部（1982-83年）での研究ならびに、英字新聞社、国際法律事務所での勤務を含め日本には20年以上滞在した。

During this webinar, we will hear about his study abroad experience and how studying in Japan influenced his business philosophy and achieving his dreams.

Mr. Fukushima made a $1 million donation to the U.S.-Japan Fulbright exchange program, the largest single donation ever made by a U.S. citizen to the U.S.-Japan Fulbright exchange program (More details).

【About the Speaker】

Mr. Glen S. Fukushima  
Vice Chair, Securities Investor Protection Corporation
Senior Fellow, Center for American Progress
Former President, American Chamber of Commerce in Japan
Former Deputy Assistant United States Trade Representative for Japan and China

A native of California, Mr. Fukushima was educated at Deep Springs College, Stanford University, Harvard University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Harvard Business School, and Harvard Law School. At Harvard, he was awarded a National Science Foundation Fellowship. He was a Stanford/Keio Exchange Scholar at Keio University and a Fulbright Fellow and a Japan Foundation Fellow at the Faculty of Law, University of Tokyo. He currently divides his time between Washington, D.C., San Francisco, and Tokyo, and often speaks at conferences especially in Asia and Europe.
