Evan Wright

Evan Wright was born and raised in Washington, DC. He attended Brown University and graduated with a degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2010. After graduation, Evan took a teaching fellowship position with Princeton in Asia. He was stationed in Singapore for a year and a half and taught high school Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. During this time, Evan also got involved with the International School of Asia, Karuizawa (ISAK) as a camp counselor and diversity workshop coordinator. Evan has been involved in the development of ISAK for the past five years and it has since become the first international boarding school in Japan. Concurrent with his involvement with ISAK, Evan moved to Chicago for almost three years working first, in operations management for McMaster-Carr Supply Co, and then, as a project manager for the tech incubator Blue1647 and a 2015 New Leaders Council Chicago Chapter Fellow. He is currently living and working Karuizawa, Japan at ISAK as a Fellow. 

Evan enjoys traveling and has worked and studied in Europe, the Middle East, East Asia, and Southeast Asia. He also has a deep passion for martial arts and has studied and competed in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the past 5 years. Evan has competed in four countries and fought in national and world competitions.
